This year has been full of uncertainties, ups and downs, and crazy new normals. As for prom, students are confused and stuck wondering if they will get their prom. The good news is that prom is still on as of now! Of course, with this crazy year there is still no guarantee. Although the 2021 prom will have many changes, this should not be surprising.
This year's prom will be held in the middle school gym on April 24th. The choice of venue was made due to the inability to have food, drinks, and dancing at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse. The option of the high school gym was also discarded because the high ceiling would allow for poor noise quality. Grand march is now planned to take place in the high school gym and does not have a limited guest requirement at this time. As of now, after prom remains to be at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse. Prom precautions required are mandatory mask-wearing and social distancing to the best of your ability. The student prom committee is a small group this year and we are looking for a few more members. Remember, getting involved is what allows this event to be possible.
