Carsen Schneider

Carsen Terry Schneider, son to Jeremiah and Megan Schneider and brother to Myles, Kennedy, and Averie, has lived in Madison, South Dakota his whole life. Outside of the classroom, Carsen works at Bethel Lutheran Home and finds “talking to the residents and listening to their advice” the most rewarding part of his job. Beyond his love for playing baseball, Carsen enjoys playing his guitar, watching YouTube, or going to the gym. Carsen has a passion for music, hence his reasoning for choosing his guitar as the one thing he could not live without. If Carsen were to audition on American Idol, he would sing the rap from Step Brothers

Carsen’s favorite color is pink, and his favorite food is biscuits and gravy (homemade, of course). Aside from biscuits and gravy, Carsen recommends the restaurant Granite City in Sioux Falls because “they have good Chicken Tortilla soup, and I rate it a 15 out of 7”. Carsen’s favorite subject is biology, his favorite movie is Interstellar, and if he were to create a YouTube channel, his content would feature outdoor sports and music. Two things that are certainly not  Carsen’s favorites are snakes and spiders because snakes are “creepy and move weird,” and the way spiders look and crawl makes Carsen want to “squeal like a little girl.”

If Carsen had five million dollars to spend, he would buy an expensive boat, a new Xbox, and a trip to Hawaii. On his bucket list, Carsen wants to go skiing in Alaska, hike “all thousand miles or something” of the Appalachian trails, and climb Mount Kilimanjaro. However, Carsen will be kept busy after high school as he plans to attend the University of South Dakota to major in medical biology and then apply for medical school with hopes of becoming a neurologist. In ten years, Carsen sees himself living in Flandreau, South Dakota, and owning a casino, a big mansion, and an expensive boat; “Who says I can’t be rich during medical school?”
