McKenna Marie Williams was born in Sioux Falls on November 9th and is the oldest child in her family. Her family includes her mom, Nicole; her dad, Jacob; and her three younger siblings: Brynlee, Evan, and Eli. McKenna has many nicknames: “Kenna,” “Willy,” or “Mcjebba.” She has lived in Madison her whole life but would enjoy spending a year abroad in Europe, Italy, or Greece because of the pretty beaches and the pasta. During her free time, she enjoys sleeping, but when she isn’t sleeping, she is probably working at One Stop.
Some things that McKenna enjoys are reading mystery books, watching documentaries, or watching mystery movies. One book that she recommends reading is A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Her favorite movie is Hacksaw Ridge, but if she could play any character in a movie, it would be Jane Porter from Tarzan because she gets to hang with gorillas. A cartoon character that best describes McKenna would be Belle from Beauty and the Beast because she enjoys reading. While English is her best subject, she does procrastinate; this is when she decided that super speed would be a helpful superpower, as she said, “It would help me get things done faster.”
McKenna plans to attend South Dakota State University for Pre-Optometry after high school. Afterward, she would like to attend the University of Minnesota for Optometry school. In ten years, McKenna sees herself, “Hopefully on a beach taking time off work,” she explains. She doesn’t have a bucket list but hopes to become rich in happiness and money (mostly money). If she already had $5 million, she would spend it on car payments, college, or a snack bar. McKenna advises underclassmen to take at least one history class with Mr. Cordts or Mr. Bundy because they are fun and easy to learn from.
