Jessie Tappe

Jessica Emily Tappe, also known as “Jessie,” was born on February 17, 2006. Jessie has lived in Madison her entire life with her family of four. She lives with her parents, John and Sandy, and her cat and dog, Biscuit and Shooter. Jessie has an older brother, Tyler, who is currently student-teaching.

When asked what her favorite color is, she said “Green, just because I like it.” Her favorite foods include breakfast food, candy, or anything that is sweet. Jessie has a job as a waitress at 2nd Street Diner and says the most rewarding part is the tips -- she really likes the tips. When she’s not working, she likes to go for a run, go to the gym, or go shopping. When asked for something she couldn’t live without, Jessie says “My running shoes. I wear them every day and they prevent stress fractures.”

Jessie’s favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy, and she says that Meredith Grey is the character that best describes her. If Jessie could live anywhere in the world for a year, she would go to Arizona for hiking and Hawaii for the ocean. With $5 million, Jessie would spend it on a Lamborghini, a mansion (with a gym and an ocean), a vacation home, and a mountain home.

If Jessie had to recommend one thing, it would be “Cottage cheese with strawberries.” Jessie’s bucket list includes running marathons and traveling the world. When asked what superpower she’d choose, she decided the ability to fly so she could go anywhere without paying for gas. When asked what her favorite holiday is, Jessie responded, “Christmas, because I really like the season.”

Jessie’s advice to underclassmen is to “Be involved in lots of things so you can fill out a resume senior year.” If Jessie were an influencer, her platform would be about her traveling and running. Jessie is deathly afraid of snakes, mainly because she’s been chased by them before and has been scared ever since. When asked where she sees herself in 10 years, she replied, “done with school, lots of money, nice house, family, and two dogs.” After high school, Jessie plans on going to college to earn a major in nursing and eventually becoming a nurse anesthetist.
