Manuel Joseph “Joey” de Castro III was born in Madison on July 7, 2005, to Sonja deCastro and Manuel deCastro Jr. He is the family's youngest child with two brothers and two sisters. Besides eating his favorite homemade lasagna (made by his mom), he enjoys watching Breaking Bad because of the characters’ relatability.
Joey is also fond of snowboarding and finding ways to make money, primarily from his clothing resale. He can also be found lifting throughout the year, enjoying it so much that he has an “addiction to pre-workout.” This activity, along with many more, stems from his belief in mastering challenges in life. Indeed, Joey does not let his fear of heights stop him from having a bucket list that includes skydiving.
His confidence in himself may prove helpful should he run for president. His hypothetical agenda includes breaking up the monopoly of BlackRock and Vanguard over housing and putting America first by making it self-reliant. Additionally, should he have five million dollars to spend, he would use it to pay for his college education and invest the rest in an index fund.
In the more immediate future, he sees himself attending Montana State University and majoring in engineering. Ten years from now, Joey hopes to open his own engineering firm, reach financial stability, and “have a beautiful wife with twenty kids.”
