The 2023 Brawl Stars World Finals took place November 24-26 in Jönköping, Sweden. Brawl Stars, a mobile 3v3 video game designed by Supercell, has become quite popular in the last few years. The 18-hour world finals were the most watched in the game’s history, sporting over 3 million hours watched with an average of 164,000 viewers throughout the live stream. For reference, this is 10x more hours watched than the event garnered four years ago, showcasing the increasing growth of this relatively new competitive game.
The event gathered the 12 best teams from around the world, who all earned their spots through rigorous tournaments throughout the year. And although there were several clear favorites to win the competition, the matches were closer than anyone expected, with underdogs like BC Gaming and Revenant Esports putting up stellar performances, and fan favorites like Tribe Gaming and Crazy Raccoon going home early. In the end, ZETA Division took down STMN to win the lion’s share of the $750,000 prize pool.
