Charles Callahan

Charles Patrick Callahan, better known as “Chuck,” is best known for being a leader, vocalizing his thoughts, and helping others when needed. Chuck was born in Spearfish, lived in Deadwood for a few years, then moved to Madison when he was just three years old. His family consists of his dad (James), mom (Ramie), older brother (Jacob), younger brother (Tripp), younger sister (Andrea), and another younger brother (Ledger). He also has two dogs: a Yorkie named Dublin and a black lab named Saylor. He works for his dad at Resykle, where Chuck claims that “Getting my gas paid for is the most rewarding part.” Chuck loves spending his free time playing Clash of Clans, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family. If Chuck could live anywhere in the world for a year, it would be Germany because of the food and beverage options.

One thing that Chuck could never live without is basketball. Chuck has been playing since he could walk and talk, so basketball is very important to him. In fact, part of his bucket list consists of going to a Celtics game in Boston to support his favorite NBA team. The other item on his bucket list is traveling to Italy to experience the culture there. His favorite subject in school is any of Mrs. Olson’s business classes (with Mrs. Gonyo’s English class in close second, of course). He recommends joining FBLA because of the various opportunities to meet new people. If Chuck had 5 million dollars to spend, he would buy his favorite NBA team, the Boston Celtics, and watch every game in person. He would also want to play Aragon from the movie series Lord of the Rings because that is his favorite character. Chuck would also love to have the superpower of superspeed “so I could do everything really, really fast”.

When Chuck graduates from high school, he plans on attending a four-year university for business and playing college basketball. After this, he hopes to have a steady job making lots of money. He also wants to be married and have two kids by the time he is 30 years old. One of the many people he looks up to would be Mrs. Gonyo. His advice to younger classmen is “Don’t let anyone stop you from accomplishing your goals.”
