Ella Fischer

Ella Rose Fischer, the oldest of three, loves the movie Footloose, the colors blue and purple, and biscuits and gravy. Although she has no real nicknames, Ella could probably be called “Noah,” as in “Noah’s Ark.” This nonexistent nickname is attributed to her love for animals. Ella works on her family's farm and helps care for all the animals. Ella also shows animals such as cows, sheep, dogs, ducks, turkeys, and chickens. It is easy to infer that caring for animals comes easily to Ella. When Ella is not being biblical Noah, she can be seen with friends, working at her other job at Stadium, talking on the phone with friends, or hanging around with animals.

Also, unlike Noah, Ella does not like snakes or insects because of “the way they move and slither.” Although she doesn’t like insects, she tolerates them. When asked if she likes grasshoppers, she said she doesn’t mind them because “they are all over my lawn.” Snakes do not deter Ella from wanting a lovely home somewhere in the countryside, or Spearfish, SD. If Ella received $5 million, she would spend it all on a beautiful home and many animals. This money would also help Ella fulfill her bucket list, which includes the items that make her happy in life: to live somewhere lovely in the country and have many animals. Who knew money could buy happiness?

After high school, Ella intends to stay in Madison or move to Brookings and work. She plans to continue working with animals or something in medicine. In 10 years, Ella hopes to live in either Madison or Brookings, SD. One piece of advice she has for underclassmen is not to stick to one single thing and try new things because no one knows if you’ll like it until you try it.
