Julia Kay Dossett is the middle child of three. She has a younger brother, Brody, and an older sister, Olyvia. The rest of her family includes her father, Nick, and mother, Maridee. Julia works two jobs: a gymnastics instructor at the Madison Gymnastics Center and a waitress at The Broadwater Bar in Wentworth, SD. Her favorite part about being an instructor for young gymnasts is that she gets to help them learn and get better. Julia says if she could live anywhere in the world for a year, it would be Hawaii because it’s warm and there are so many things to do there.
Some of Julia’s favorites include the color pink, steak and peppers, Target, and the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Something that seems to come easily to her is making friends, as she says, “it is easy to make conversation with others.” When Julia has free time, she enjoys competing in golf and gymnastics, which she has done since the age of four. Another thing she enjoys is hanging out with her best friends and family (whom she says she can’t live without). If Julia was given 5 million dollars to spend, she would use it towards clothes, shoes, a nice house, and vacations.
After graduating from high school, Julia intends to go to college and pursue a degree in the medical or dental field. In 10 years' time, she sees herself living in a nice house with a family and working a job she enjoys. A piece of advice Julia has for underclassmen would be, “Enjoy high school while you’re in it” and, “make new friends.”
