The Madison Makos Swim Team had seven middle and high school swimmers go to the South Dakota State Swim meet on the weekend of March 3, 2024.
Sienna Maxwell qualified for the 100m fly, 100m freestyle, 100m back, 200m freestyle, 100m IM, 50m freestyle, and 200m Medley. She placed 8th in the 100m freestyle and 6th in the 100m fly.
Delilah Maxwell qualified for 50m freestyle. She placed top 16 in the 50m freestyle for her division.
Oliver Meyer qualified for the 100m Medley, 200m Medley, and 100m freestyle.
Charles Meyer qualified for the 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, and 100m IM. He placed top 16 in a few of his events.
Charlotte Hassleton qualified for the 50m freestyle. She placed top 16 in the event.
Ryan Jenks qualified for the 100m fly, 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, and 50m freestyle. Ryan got top eight in all of his events.
Addison Bates qualified for the 200m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 100m Medley, 200m Medley, 500m freestyle, and 1000m freestyle. She placed top 8 in two of her events.
The swimmers had an amazing time at state swim and are excited for next year!
