Senior Lexi Demetria Hirsch has not always lived in Madison. She was born in Arizona and moved to South Dakota when she was just two years old. She is the oldest of three and has a younger sister and a younger brother. She claims, “We're just one boring average family!” Along with spending time with family and friends, which is something she likes to do in her free time, she also works at McDonald’s and enjoys getting a paycheck. Lexi loves to watch Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and of course, Rick and Morty. When asked what she recommends, Lexi says “The show Rick and Morty, because it’s very interesting and it’s like no other show you’ve ever watched before.” She loves to travel, which reflects her bucket list which includes going to Mexico, the Bahamas, a moon festival in Thailand, and more. She finds herself going back to Arizona frequently to see her other family members, as well.
One item Lexi could not live without is the company of others. This reflects how Lexi loves to spend time with her family and friends. Another thing Lexi recommends is having fun, which she does by getting her nails done, shopping, and driving around. She loves all colors, but specifically black because it goes with everything. Her favorite food is ice cream of all flavors. In contrast to things she likes, she hates the idea of failure, but that doesn't stop her; it pushes her to work harder and accomplish her goals. Lexi enjoys math class because there is only one right answer, unlike other classes where multiple answers are possible. Lexi would love to have the superpower of reading peoples’ minds, so she can know all their secrets and what they're thinking.
After high school, Lexi doesn't have a set plan yet, but she would love to go to Arizona for college. In ten years, she sees herself married with children. She exclaims, “I want to be a stay-at-home mom if I can have a rich husband!” She wants to be living somewhere warm like Arizona or Florida. She would love to have lots of animals, specifically rescue dogs, including German shepherds, golden retrievers, and just one cat. Lexi’s advice for underclassmen is to always have fun. She also says, “to not take everything too seriously because life is way too short for that.”
