Charles Angus Margeson, also known as “Chuck”, “Charlie”, “Chuckles”, and even at times “Fred” is seen as a son, brother, friend, and peer. Charles's family includes his father ( a former army vet) his four sisters, and three brothers. Charles, previously, employed at Global Polymer, is now following his passion for cooking and is working at the Office. Outside of work Charles enjoys hanging out with his girlfriend, watching movies, and playing games. While Charles is a soon-to-be MHS graduate, this is not the only school that he has attended. Charles has also lived in Tennessee, Idaho, Georgia, and more recently Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Of all these places, Charles says that his favorite place to live in is Madison, due to the support and community that is offered here.
Charles says that throughout his education culinary is his favorite subject, stating that “It’s always been easy for me.” Other than cooking, other things that come easily to Charles include puzzles and video games. He says that he enjoys anything that involves using your brain to solve problems. Another one of Charles's favorite subjects is history, saying that if he were to ever travel outside of the country he would visit Italy, due to the extended history that can be found there. Charles's favorite food is his Tee Tee Jessica’s empanadas because it reminds him of his Hispanic grandfather. When asked, what is one item he could not live without, Charles responded by saying that, though he's not a materialistic person and that things like that don’t matter to him, he said ultimately, he couldn’t live without his guitar. Charles's favorite movie is Second Hand Lions, made in 2003 and his favorite TV show is Tulsa King, made in 2022. When further asked what character he would play if he could be in a film or show Charles said that he would like to play as Percy Jackson in the Percy Jackson series.
When asked what advice he would give to underclassmen he says to not burn yourself out freshman year and to not put too much unneeded pressure on yourself. Another one of Charles's recommendations is that “people should visit a mountain at some point.” Charles says that it is good for the scenes, fresh air, and views which can ultimately change one's perspectives in life. In 10 years Charles, being a “fairly simple person” as he calls himself, hopes to have a good career and imagines himself married and owning a house. Charles's plans consist of attending Lake Area Technical School to learn how to operate heavy equipment and then going into a job field requiring a heavy equipment operator. Throughout his years here at Madison High School Charles says that ultimately he would like to be remembered as a “nice guy”, that when people think about him he wants people to think of how he treated people, and how he made people feel.
