Hunter Hanson

Private Hanson Reporting for Duty

Hunter JD Hanson has lived in Madison his whole life. His family includes his younger sister Ella, his mom, dad, and himself. One of his favorite foods is his mom’s homemade SpaghettiOs. Hunter also has three dogs and two cats; he claims that his cat, Burger, is his best friend. Last fall, Hunter joined the National Guard, and he still has a job here in Madison at the local Dairy Queen. He is very proud to be a part of the world's largest fighting force and his job at Dairy Queen is just fun.

Hunter has a big passion for firearms, but a close second is his love for video games. Something that comes easily for Hunter is that he knows his guns very well, which has led to both his career in the National Guard, and participating in the high school Trap team. One dream on Hunter’s bucket list is to compete in Air Pistol Shooting at the Olympics. When Hunter is not practicing shooting, he is playing video games. He claims, “You can catch me online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.” If, for some reason, Hunter is not playing video games, he will be watching Deadpool, which is his favorite movie. If he could play any part in a movie, he would be a stunt double, because he would be able to do all the dangerous things.

After high school, Hunter plans to attend Mitchell Technical College for either powerline construction or HVAC. He also plans to continue his career in the military both during and after school. In ten years he sees himself with a family and at least one child, with a nice house and good job. If he had five million dollars to spend right now, though, he would buy his house now, along with a few nice cars. In the future, he also sees himself with a few more tattoos, one hopefully being a bicep band to match his uncles’. Some advice he wants to leave with the younger classmen is to “Get the work done. The video games can wait.”
