Shayna Leah FlyingHorse, or ‘Shabayna’ as she is called in school, has lived in Madison her whole life. Shayna comes from a family of five and is the youngest of three children. Although she has no younger siblings, her sister has four children that feel like hers. When asked about her favorite food, Shayna quickly responded, “I like dino nuggets.”
Though she has lived in Madison her whole life, Shayna plans to travel to Oregon when she graduates. “I love the rain, and I want to live in a forest with all the little bugs.” Once Shayna graduates, she plans to study forensic psychology to “learn about the criminal brain.” In ten years, Shayna sees herself living with 12 cats in a small town in Oregon.
In her free time, you can find Shayna in the gym lifting weights, spending time with friends, or working as a waitress at The Hillside. The advice she would give to underclassmen is “Get involved in activities; you'll regret it if you don't.” Her most memorable moment so far was the prop tree falling during the middle school performance of The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, and any memory she has made with her friends throughout high school.
