Nathan Hasleton and Molly Engebretson are two high school students who have been dating for one year. The couple met during the many band camps they attended together, and they also lifeguarded at the Madison Aquatic Center for the past couple of years. During their time together working and in a band, the two became very fond of each other. At the time, Nathan’s first impression of Molly was that she was cute but immature. Molly always got the impression that Nathan was a leader in everything he did; he was smart, friendly, and a little bit of a flirt. Some of the many things they enjoy doing together involve working out, watching movies, coloring, going on walks, and being with their families. Their favorite memory as a couple so far is conducting the band together at competitions and football games.
If they were both characters in a cartoon, they said they would be Anakin and Padmé from the movie “Star Wars." A food they would choose to eat together for the rest of their lives, they would choose to eat steak because it has protein and it’s delicious. Many of the qualities that Nathan admires about Molly are that she is persistent, kind, and hardworking. Molly admires that Nathan is positive, dedicated, and funny. Their dream life together consists of living in Norway, in a big white house with lots of sunlight. They want to have three kids, two dogs, and a cat. Some advice that they would give to couples dating in high school is to communicate well with each other, talk things out, and compromise. Nathan says, “Remember, it’s not me versus you; it's us versus the problem”.
