Brayden Gust

Brayden Kristopher Gust, more commonly known by his peers as “Brad,” was born in Madison and has lived here his whole life. He lives with his parents Brandon and Shelli, and two younger brothers Layten and Kaysen. The nickname “Brad" started his freshman year when, an upperclassman at the time, Calvin Kelsey, began calling him that and the name has stuck ever since. His favorite color is blue, and his favorite subject in school are ag classes because he likes working with his hands and uses it as a stress reliever. His favorite TV show is The Flash and when asked what superpower he would want he said superspeed because he could do all the things The Flash can do in the show.

When asked what his favorite type of music is he states, “country and divorced dad rock, there’s nothing like divorced dad rock.” Brad enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, playing sports, and hunting in his free time. One thing that he could not live without is his Xbox because it has just always been there for him.

Brayden is currently employed at J & M Construction where he says that the most rewarding parts are the life lessons and the donut breaks. After high school, he plans on attending SDSU to get a degree in construction management. When asked what advice he would give underclassmen, he says, “don’t dwell on mistakes in the past.” Brad’s most fond memory is when he attended the national FFA convention in Indianapolis, he enjoyed this the most because he got to hang out with his friends. In ten years he sees himself married with kids, living on an acreage with land for him to hunt on.
