Senior Spotlight: Nakeyta Woldt Bonwell By: Carter Downs
"Neoteric Nakeyta”
Nakeyta Woldt Bonwell who also goes by “Keyta” is a student at Madison High School. Nakeyta has not lived in Madison forever, she spent her early years in Oldham. Her family consists of 3 people: her mom, Christina; her younger brother, Meridius who is 14 years younger than her; and herself. Some of Nakeyta’s favorite things are the color lilac purple, cheesy bread, and the movie Enola Holmes.
Nakeyta’s quote she lives by is Colossians 3:13 which states, “Forgive each other; as the lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.” A very busy person, she works two jobs, one at Scooters, and the other at Prairie Shores Resort. After high school Nakeyta plans to join the Army and pursue active duty while going to college for interior design, and getting her real estate license. A recommendation she has for anyone is to always stay open-minded and on top of your work.
Nakeyta is a very adventurous person and wants to be able to travel the world someday in her future Chevy Silverado. Some things on her bucket list include: getting at least two majors, going to every single country in the world, and making a difference in a community. Also, if she could have one superpower it would be flying so she doesn’t have to pay for gas and can always be on time.
Some favorite things she likes to do in her free time are, “ attending youth group, baking with her little brother, and shopping with the money she doesn’t have.” Her favorite subject throughout high school was strength and conditioning class because she believes it is the only thing she will use after she graduates from high school. To add on to that she claims, ”My favorite year of school was junior year because it was the hardest but I learned a lot.” Finally her message to the underclassmen is to not leave garbage in the parking lot.
