Micah Nelson

Turbo Maestro Micah

Micah has lived in Madison South Dakota his entire life with his mother, Tess; father, Craig; brother, Malachi; and his dog, Thor. Micah said if he could live anywhere in the world he would live in Germany. Micah mows lawns for a job, and in doing so he collects the big green bucks. Even though Micah loves collecting the green stuff, his favorite color is orange, because of the car brand McLaren. When not working Micah likes to build his legos, drive his car to relax, and play Xbox with his friends in other states. Micah enjoys going to Fiero’s with his family because “it’s so good!!” His favorite movie is Cars; although he also enjoys watching Drive to Survive and The Office.

Since Micah is a very busy man with his job/career, school, and personal life, he said to make his life easier he would love to have a superpower. If he could have any superpower he would have super speed so he can get everything done in his busy life really fast. If Micah was given five million dollars he would spend it on cars and Legos. If he could play any character in any movie he would play Denny from The Art of Racing in the Rain because he loves driving cars. Something unique about Micah that many people don’t know is his large Lego car collection. One thing on his bucket list is visiting the Porsche Museum in Georgia.

When he is not having fun or working, Micah is an excellent student. He loves going to English class with Mrs. Gonyo because English comes naturally to him. What also comes easy to Micah is music. He is a great singer and has been in All-State Choir, Senior-Honor Choir, and Junior-Honor Choir; he has also auditioned for National-Honor Choir. In addition to participating in choirs, he is also a really talented musician. He has been in the Madison Central School band since 5th grade and knows how to play many instruments.

After high school, Micah plans on going to college at South Dakota State University or Augustana for music, theater, and a business minor. In ten years Micah sees himself hopefully out of college with a wife, children, pets, and lots of money. One of his most memorable moments during the years of high school was going to Portland with his best friend and watching Formula E. A piece of advice he would give to underclassmen is “study, get a lot of sleep, and don’t procrastinate”. One quote Micah lives by is “do or do not, there is no try”.
