Dakota Eugene Britt was born in Sioux Falls and lived in Howard before moving to Cavona and Madison. His family consists of his dad, his little brother, and himself. Dakota’s dad was previously in the military in Vietnam. An item he can’t live without is the Bible that his mother gave to him. He explains that it is, “the only thing to remember her by.” Dakota's best lesson he has learned is that an open mind means nothing without an open heart. His most memorable moment regarding school was when he got a 92% on a world history semester test, without notes or studying. His favorite color is crimson red, his favorite food is chocolate chip pancakes, and his favorite TV series is Supernatural. His favorite subject in school is gym because he likes to run around and burn energy.
Something that comes easily to Dakota is analyzing other people and their behavior, he is quite passionate about psychology. During his free time, he enjoys reading, watching anime, creating wooden models, and playing video games. He recommends martial arts to others because it teaches control and patience. If he could play any character from a series, he would play Luffy from One Piece because they have similar personalities. Dakota’s favorite music genre is rock and he listens to the bands: Metallica, Avenged Seven Fold, and Disturbed. Dakota is afraid of losing things dear to him which causes him to think before he acts on anything. Advice that he would give to underclassmen is, “Do what has to be done first, there will be time for everything else later.” A quote that Dakota lives by is, “Life gives and takes, for everything that is taken away something is given, everything that is given will have something taken away.” A unique trait is that he practices selective thinking, which causes him to focus only on what is occurring.
If Dakota could live anywhere in the world, he would live anywhere his family is, because they stick together. If he had a superpower he would have mind reading because he feels it would be helpful to gauge people better. If Dakota were an animal, he would be a wolf, he is close with his family and “sticks with his pack.” If given $5 million, he would save half and spend the rest. If Dakota had a YouTube Channel or a large TikTok platform he would post comedic jokes, and random stuff to make others laugh. After he graduates high school, Dakota plans to go to a Tech School to study construction or mechanics. 10 years from now, he sees himself “living life to the fullest, alive if possible.”
