AVA!

“Ava Analysis”

Ava Caprice duRandt, known as “Ave” by her friends, was born in Pierre and lived in Onida before she and her family moved to Madison. She is the daughter of Summer and Louis duRandt; she has a younger brother, Eli; and two older sisters, Eden and Paige. Ava has worked at 2nd Street Diner since she was a freshman and says her favorite part is meeting the elderly and talking to her regulars.

Something that comes easily to Ava is being nice and communicating with others. Ironically, she likes to spend most of her time alone reading, playing guitar, or driving around with her friends listening to music. She says she listens to a wide range of genres and loves all of them. Ava’s favorite movie is The Notebook; she also enjoys making quilts, she says, “I’m basically an old lady.” When asked to complete the statement, “I recommend…” Ava responded, “I recommend keeping a journal; it’s nice to look back and remember everything, and I enjoy writing everything that’s on my mind.” The biggest thing on Ava’s bucket list is to travel around the world. A superpower that Ava would love to have is to read peoples’ minds because “I want to know how others perceive me.”

After high school, Ava plans to go to the University of Nebraska Omaha for business or finance and she wants to open a cafe in a big city. Ava’s favorite quote is “This too shall pass.” In 10 years, Ava says she sees herself, “having a successful business, cute house, hopefully a husband, or at least a boyfriend.” Ava stated her interest in the business field started from working in a restaurant, “I want to be like my boss.”
