Charlotte Sewell is an aspiring veterinarian, but a waitress for now. She has three siblings, two brothers and a sister. Her parents are Christina and William Sewell, who moved to Madison ten years ago after growing up in Garnet, Kansas. Charlotte enjoys crocheting and walking her dog, Diggory, that she can’t live without. Her favorite subject is social science because of “interesting reactions” between people.
Charlotte thrives with organization and is the “average party pooper.” Her bucket list includes graduating college, visiting Europe, and hugging a panda. If she could live anywhere, it’d be Europe, after she graduates from NDSU, of course. If Charlotte could run a large TikTok platform, her content would be how to take care of animals, as well as some general information about them.
Her secret fears are Porta-Potties due to their lack of sanitization, as well as spiders and snakes. Her most memorable moment is her Junior year’s formal weekend, where her dad had to go to the ER for cut off fingers, she hit a deer, and sprained her elbow, all within 48 hours. Charlotte’s life is filled with sporadic instances, which she hates. She enjoys control and structure more than anything, but conversely says that the animal she wishes she could be the most is a panda, because they sleep, eat, and laze around all day with no expectations.
Charlotte is currently working on getting into college at NDSU, where she plans on graduating and becoming a vet technician, because she loves how animals don’t judge, are easy to be around, and don’t lie. The motto she lives by is, “try and fail, but don’t fail to try.” Charlotte’s advice to underclassmen is to “be open to new experiences, they can change everything.”
