With the no travel advisory in Lake County, Madison Central School District has cancelled in person classes today, and will have an online learning day today, Wednesday, February 15th. St. Thomas and Madison Christian schools will be closed. Remote learning day packets have been sent home with Elementary students with Zoom links emailed to parents. Middle School and High School students will have online classes. NO in person classes.
Tonight's high school girls BB games scheduled at Milbank HAVE BEEN CANCELLED - these games will not be made up. Also, tonight's 7th & 8th grade boys BB games against West Central HAVE BEEN CANCELLED - these games will not be made up.
Because of the weather down south, there have been several changes to the boys Dak XII/NEC Clash taking place in Madison today (January 28th). The Madison game vs. Tiospa Zina will now be played at 3:30 in the HIGH SCHOOL GYM. An updated schedule for the day is attached.
Because of the inclement weather to the south of us, the Middle School Wrestlers will not be going to the wrestling tournament in Sioux Falls.
At this time, the high school wrestlers are still planning to go to Brookings, and the Dak XII/NEC BBB Clash is on, but will now start at 11:45.
The JV Gymnastics meet scheduled for tonight in Deuel HAS BEEN CANCELLED - this event will not be made up. The girls basketball game against Tea tonight in Madison is still ON AS SCHEDULED.

Today's 7th & 8th grade BBB games with MCM have been postponed as McCook Central and Montrose have called off school for today - we do not have a re-schedule date at this time. The home high school BBB games tonight against Dell Rapids are still on as scheduled.

Because of the unpredictable weather in the area, we are POSTPONING the 7th & 8th Grade boys BB games at Lennox to tomorrow, January 17th in Lennox - the times and locations will be the same. The high school GBB games against Beresford scheduled for tonight at home are still ON AS SCHEDULED.
2022-2023 School Calendar Amended - currently with 5 missed snow days, January 16th is changed to be a regular full day of school and February 1st is also changed to be a regular full day of school.

The girls basketball game scheduled for today @ Arlington has been RESCHEDULED to Friday, January 6th with at JV start time of 3:30 and Varsity start time of approximately 4:45 (PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER TIMES). The varsity Quad scheduled for today in Dell Rapids has been RESCHEUDLED to Thursday, January 26th in Dell Rapids with a 5:30 start time. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Because of the wind chill warnings & blizzard-like conditions forecast, the MHS Boys BB games schedule for tomorrow (Thursday, December 22nd) HAVE BEEN POSTPONED...AGAIN!! The make-up date is Friday, December 30th with C/B/A games at 11:00am, 12:15pm & 1:30 pm. Happy Holidays!
