As the temperatures rise and the snow melts, it feels more like summer. While there is only a little over a month left until school is out for summer break, much is still happening until then. Spring sports, which include track, softball, girls' golf, and boys' tennis are in full swing. This week, the track team is headed to Brookings on Tuesday where the events will start at 3:30. Madison’s softball team also has games in Dakota Valley on Monday, Castlewood on Tuesday, and Sioux Falls on Saturday. On the boys' side, the tennis team will stay in Madison on Monday against Milbank. Then, they will go to Vermillion on Tuesday and Mitchell on Friday. Wrapping up spring sports, the golfers are home on Tuesday, with the game starting at 4:00 against Lennox.

Aside from sports, there is a choir concert on April 20th in the High School Auditorium which is set to begin at seven p.m., and a band concert on April 24th at seven p.m. The band and choir will head all day to Harrisburg on the 26th for Large Group Contest. For FFA members, they took off on Sunday for Brookings to go to a State Convention that will go on until Tuesday. In a week, members of FCCLA will also have a State Leadership Conference. With lots going on, summer will come fast. Here is a friendly reminder to finish the school year off strong so you can have a great summer!
