The Madison Cross Country season closed the year with Regions held in Garretson, on October 17, 2019. This was the final meet for all of those on JV and Varsity who did not qualify for the state meet, which will be held October 26th, in Huron. Two runners, 8th grader Ellie Keller and freshmen Deion Cross will be advancing to the state meet. The 2019 XC runners grew to become a tight-knit group of athletes who not only have a passion and dedication for the sport, but also learned the values of teamwork and overall positivity and kindness to all participants. From cheering on other teams at meets and delivering water on hot days, being there for the middle schooler runners, or constantly pushing each other in workouts with encouragement along with it, it was a fun season. There were six seniors this year, Casi Eliason, Cali Eliason, Kaden Krusemark, Isaac Meyer, Isaiah Klockman, and Nick Kessler. Each senior worked hard to lead the way for success throughout the season. While seniors led the way with encouragement and leadership, everyone was willing to step up and be there for others. The Madison Cross Country team went to 8 different meets including the Dak 12 Conference and Region 2A conference meets.
