Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Alexandra “Alex” Scott was just 4 years old when she opened her first lemonade stand. What you may not know is that she was previously diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. She started a lemonade stand to raise money for childhood cancer research.  The annual lemonade stand raised $1,000,000 by the time of her death in 2004. Her courage and determination to help others has inspired children everywhere. Her foundation, made by her family, has raised millions of dollars more since then.

“Working for an Alex’s Lemonade Stand was an amazing experience. It made me feel very helpful to be raising money for all those kids and families that it is affecting” claims Ally Sahr.

Ally helped work at an Alex’s Lemonade stand at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Seminar last summer. They spent a morning giving away  lemonade and asking for free will donations. There are lemonade stands nationwide as well as in other countries. This little girl, Alex, would be very proud of the movement that she has started and how many thousands of families that she has helped.
