Senior Spotlight: Tyler Streeter

Tyler Streeter is part of a family that consists of his two sisters, two brothers, his mother Ann and his father named Justin. They play a big role in his life. Tyler is eighteen years old and lives in Madison, South Dakota. He plans to have a military career, where he will be able to meet new people and travel often. Currently, Tyler works at Nicky’s. He loves the great work, environment and being able to have fun. Without a doubt, Tyler believes that patience is the biggest and most important thing he has learned throughout his four years of high school. 

Chicken and rice is the food you’ll see Tyler eating when given the choice. He really enjoys being the catcher for his Sioux Falls softball team. Tyler enjoys working with other people and is a good teammate, which will benefit him greatly in the future. With all of Tyler’s future plans revolving around people, being a good team player will come in handy. If he could choose to live anywhere in the world, he would pick South America and live in Brazil. He would live there because he wants to see the different cultures and how they interact with each other. 

You will find Tyler reading the Percy Jackson Series in his free time. He also enjoys watching the Fast & Furious film series. Tyler believes that he most resembles Paul Walker from the Fast & Furious films because he relates to his character in the movie. It would make his dreams come true if he could be a contestant on American Ninja Warrior. He thinks being on that show would be fun because it’s based on skills and drive. He treasures the moments when he is able to write because Tyler enjoys writing letters to people. 

If Tyler had 5 million dollars, he would give back to his family by buying items that they need. Someday, he would like to be the owner of his own business. Tyler wants to have his very own mechanic shop because it's been a passion of his for many years. Ten years from now, Tyler hopes he is financially stable. Once he graduates high school, he will join the Army National Guard full time in order to become a member of the active Army. After he devotes his time to training, Tyler will attend Southeast Technical Institute where he can further his career in mechanics.
