Tyler Joe Tappe was brought into this world on June 25, 2001. His family consists of his father and mother, John and Sandra Tappe, and his younger sister, Jessie. He also has a dog named Shooter and a cat named Biscuit.
In his younger days, Tyler attended the St. Thomas Elementary School and stated that some of his favorite childhood memories come from going to school there. Moving on to high school, Tyler has participated in many sports and activities such as football, basketball, baseball, coaching youth football, and is a church member. He is very determined and works hard at everything he does. Along with excelling in school and sports, Tyler also started his own mowing business. Another hidden talent of Tyler’s is his cooking abilities. He claims, “I am lowkey really good at cooking, my specialty right now is chicken Alfredo.”
Tyler’s favorite color is green and his favorite TV show is either Friday Night Lights or The Office. When asked about a cartoon character that best describes him, Tyler answered, “Shaggy from Scooby Dooby Doo because he always has a positive outlook on life.” He also noted that his favorite food is the nachos from El Vaquero, but if he were looking for a more healthy snack choice, he’d pick raspberries.
Attending Madison High School has taught Tyler many life lessons that he will carry with him the rest of his life. He stated, “You will go through many obstacles that may knock you down, but the important thing is to always get right back up and keep working hard.” The things he will miss most about high school is getting to see his friends everyday at school and participating in sports and other activities.
Upon graduating, Tyler’s college options depend on if he plays sports. He plans to go to the University of South Dakota if he doesn’t play sports to major in something in the medical field. If he does end up playing sports in college, he will attend either Dakota State University or Dakota Wesleyan University for the same major. Ten years from now, Tyler sees himself married, coaching his son’s tee ball team, and just being successful in a career that he loves (and hopefully making a lot of money).
