The ambition and strive of Olivia Nugent are not for the faint of heart. At only 18 years old, Olivia is motivated to achieve her dreams. Her dedication to helping others has only grown exponentially in recent years in the realization that helping others is her calling.
Olivia Lynette Nugent reigns as the eldest daughter of Jen and Tyler DeVaney. Her two younger siblings, Myles and Braelynn, have shown her what it takes to be a compassionate and well-rounded person, in terms of taking care of others. Since she was little, Olivia has viewed herself as one of the main protectors of her siblings, ensuring that they are always happy and healthy. While caring for her siblings, she still finds time to do the same for her two cats, Millie and Chubbz.
Experience with her younger siblings has led her to a love (yes, love) of organization. In her own words, “everything has a place.” The love of organization and keeping everything clean and tidy has led her to her current job as a housekeeper at Camp Lakodia. At her job, she is in charge of tidying linens, cleaning cabins, and organizing cabins and cleaning supplies.
When not taking care of family and cleaning cabins, Olivia is at school studying hard to prepare for her future. Her years of schooling have taught her how to work rigorously and exceptionally under pressure, a skill she is certain she will utilize for years to come. Her dream is to become a nurse, whether pediatric or E.R., and obtain a master’s degree to become a Nurse Practitioner.
While some people would suggest things such as “travel more” or “don’t procrastinate,” Olivia goes off the beaten path. Her number one suggestion for anyone is to “Go to KFC and get a Famous Bowl! It’s only three dollars and you get full!” While this statement sounds like a sponsored ad, she swears up and down that it is a bargain everyone must try.
In 10 years she is sure to be doing something of remarkable status. She hopes that by 28 she will be married, with a couple of kids, and career that she loves. Also dogs. Like, a lot of dogs.
Olivia’s push for success is an inspiration. Her fire for a prosperous future reminds one of someone who’s at least 30 years old. Then again, as one of her favorite country songs goes, “much too young to feel this da*n old.” That bit of old soul is not a bad thing, it centers Olivia on what she finds important - family, friends, and a good career. As anyone can now see, all such goals are on the edge of the horizon for this soon to be high school graduate.
