Senior Spotlight: Breanna Stout

Soccer, yogurt, the color black, and sour patch kids. These are all things of significance to our very own Breanna Stout of Ramona, South Dakota. She has lived a full and exciting life in her 17 years on this earth and now she continues her journey through her senior year.

Breanna’s tremendous family consists of her mom and dad, Toni and Jim; her three older siblings, Justin, Chealsea, and Jaden; and her three younger siblings, Demory, Landon, and Levi. That’s right, there’s no mistake here - Breanna is the middle child of seven. One can only imagine how this family life has contributed greatly to Breanna’s friendly, fun-loving personality. Family is obviously very important to Breanna because when asked who she looks up to as a role model, she answered, “My older sister Jaden because when we were growing up she would try to fix all my problems and make bad situations okay.”

Over the course of her interview, Breanna disclosed that her favorite television show is Lucifer on Netflix and her favorite book is The Haunting of Hill House. Breanna was thrilled that her favorite book became a television series on Netflix as she was already a fan of the spooky reading material. Her favorite color is black, which becomes evident as you meet and observe her dashing ebony attire. She also explained that her favorite foods are, peculiarly enough, yogurt and cantaloupe, due to their freshness. Breanna also cares about being active, considering she has been in soccer leagues since she was young.

Breanna certainly has an independent personality. When asked what she would recommend to someone, she candidly and passionately answered, “Do what you want and live your life to the fullest. Don’t worry about being judged, just be you.” She knows that she is an original person and loves to do things her way, not worrying about what others think or say. However, Breanna has a sensitive side along with her outstanding confidence. When asked what one thing that she just couldn’t live without, she thoughtfully answered her makeup because, “it can hide things that I don’t always want people to see.”

Looking forward, Breanna has some wonderful prospects in mind for her future. After graduation, she plans on moving to Minnesota or Arizona to pursue a career in the medical field as a surgeon. In the next ten years, she can see herself being married, becoming a successful surgeon, and moving to either California or New York. We wish her the best of luck with all of her future endeavors, whether it be her career, family, or new and exciting adventures.
