The small town scene is not for everyone, but for Ally Drew, she couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. When asked if she could live anywhere in the world, expenses paid, she responded with “I don’t think I could live anywhere but Madison. I love it here.” She loves the town of Madison because her family is here. Ally, or Alexis Nicolle Drew, is accompanied by her dad, Dave; mom, Tracey; and brother, Hunter. Ally says “It's all fun- we like to tease each other sometimes, but all in all we are a very close knit family. They are my best friends.” Her family also consists of two dogs named Bailey and Sadie, and her beloved cat named Kitty. Ally is also extremely close with her grandparents in Brookings and her grandma Donna, with whom she spends lunch with every day.
In 10 years from now Ally would love to be a pool mom, but if that doesn't work out, she plans on being a teacher. She would like to thank her mom, Tracey, for encouraging her to pursue this career. She claims, “I love how her students light up when they see her and I hope I can make an impact on them as she has with hers.” She also wants to have a bunch of kids of her own and then would possibly like to adopt, which goes along with her love for kids. Ally is a babysitter for families in the summer and occasionally throughout the school year. The thing she loves most about kids is that you just never know what they are going to say. Ally plans on attending SDSU in Brookings for a teaching career. When asked if she was given 5 million dollars but couldn’t spend it on herself, she would donate it to schools around the U.S that need funding to provide kids with a better education.
If Ally could join a reality tv show she would choose Keeping up with the Kardashians because who wouldn’t want to be a part of that lifestyle? If she could play any character in a movie it would be anything involving comedy. She loves Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Adam Sandler. When asked if she had a YouTube channel she responded with “I would rather have a Tik Tok account because it will always make you laugh no matter your mood.” Her favorite pastimes include watching Tik Toks, going on walks in the state park, and spending time with family and friends.
Ally loves to watch movies- her all time favorite would be Ford vs Ferrari. She likes this movie because she loves the 60’s and everything that comes with it: the old cars, the style of fashion, the music, and the bright red diners. However, she’s a sucker for scary movies as well. She loves all Halloween movies and anything fall- it’s her favorite time of the year.
Ally sees herself as a good person and loves to make people laugh. If she could have a super power, it would be to make people smile. If she could recommend anything, it would be to enjoy your time in Madison for it being a great community with lots of loving friends, teachers, and members of this great town and always be kind.
