The ACT is a big test that every high schooler fears. The test that determines how smart you are and if you can get into your dream college. The test that determines how much money you could make in scholarships. Don’t worry, there are so many options out there to prepare you.
Some top-rated books you could purchase or maybe even find at the school or local library are The Official ACT Prep Guide, Barron's ACT Premium Study Guide, and Princeton Review's Premium ACT Prep. The official book retails around $37. Barron’s ACT book is about $22, and Princeton Review is about $17.
Now don’t fret, you don’t have to worry, you can prep for the act without breaking the bank. There are millions of free websites and YouTube videos that will give you all the information you will need for the test. You can download act prep apps on your phone. Some that I have personally used to study from are ACT Prep Coach and Practice Test, ACT Practice Flashcards, and ACT Prep for Dummies.
Lastly, our own teachers set up study sessions every once in a while. Anyone is free to come to these sessions. The teachers will give you all the knowledge you should need for your ACT. The next dates will be Monday, March 29th for Science in Ms. Wiebers’ classroom, Thursday, April 8th for Math in Ms. Weeldreyer’s classroom, and Monday, April 12th for English in Mrs. Gonyo’s classroom. These will all be from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
