“My bulldog” is the answer you will receive when you ask 18-year-old Alexander James Gosmire what he can’t live without. He takes his “Squishy-faced English Bulldog” everywhere he goes, even if it’s just to the gas station to grab a snack or fill up his truck. When he goes to Sturtevant’s Auto Parts to get parts for his hobby, his dog is always ready to go on a ride.
Fixing and building small motors is what you would see if you watched Alex’s YouTube channel. He wants to make a career out of rebuilding and fixing motors. After high school, he plans to attend tech school at Mitchell Tech or Lake Area Tech. He enjoys any class in the ag room because he is a hands-on learner and enjoys doing any type of handyman work. During the summer, Alex works for his dad doing a variety of jobs, from plumbing to roofing houses. When he gets home after a long day of work, he likes to sit down and eat his favorite food, spaghetti. When he is done with supper, he likes to watch Diesel Bros and play Rainbow 6 Siege with his friends.
If you asked Alex for a recommendation, he would tell you to pursue your dreams, and that is exactly what he wants to do. He wants to own a Dodge Demon and has already started saving money so he can get one. The top speed of that car is 211 mph, if you asked Alex what super-power he wants, it would be super speed to get all of his homework done on time. It’s no secret that he wants to go fast, if he could be any character in a movie it would be Dominic from Fast and Furious because he is a good driver and he also likes to go fast.
Ten years from now Alex wants to have a family and his own business. Alex has a family of 6 including himself, 3 sisters, and his parents. If he could be on an endurance show he would want to be on Naked and Afraid because “It looks fun.” The only problem he would have is he is scared of heights and he would have to overcome that fear so he could win. If the prize was 5 million dollars and Alex couldn’t spend it on himself, he would give it to the homeless and also to charity. There is no doubt Alex has a good future ahead of him.
