Ethan

Having a love for nature and as a  member of the Boy Scouts for 13 years, it is no surprise the color green has been an all-time favorite for the 17-year-old senior at Madison High School. Ethan Russel Brown lives in the town of Madison with four other family members: his mom, Kelly; dad, Tim; and two brothers, Blake and Landry. Ethan works at the Broadwater at Lake Madison as a cook. He does a little bit of everything, from prep work to dishes. He also occasionally helps out at his parent’s business, which is the movie theatre in Madison.

A great skill of his is problem-solving. When asked why Ethan said he likes to figure out the problem of something-  whether it’s an equation in a math class or everyday life. His favorite subject is also, coincidentally, math. An obsession he has is his favorite food, enchiladas. When asked what his favorite movies and shows were Ethan simply replied with Stranger Things, and The Thing by John Carpenter. Ethan is a big reader, he specifically loved the book, All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.

Life in the past year was like a mystery flavored Dum-Dum to Ethan, It was good but there was no telling what was to come. If Ethan could live anywhere in the world for a year, he would love to live in Eastern Poland and would like to learn a new language, culture, and would enjoy hiking a mountain there. He would, of course, bring the thing he couldn’t live without, his PC for gaming. Interestingly enough, If Ethan could open up any business he wanted, it would definitely not be a restaurant, but, “a real estate agency, I would love to renovate and sell houses for a higher price.”

If Ethan Brown could have any power he responded with, “reading people's minds because I always wonder what people are saying about me.” When asked, Ethan thought that the main character from Ozark best described him, why may you ask?  he said that “they both like to think objectively.” If Ethan could get 5 million dollars to spend in 5 days he said that he would invest it into his parents' company he said his reasoning was because “it could come back around to him.” Ethan’s biggest fear is the reality of not knowing what he is going to do after high school, and having to get a “dead-end job.”

Ethan’s future plans consist of becoming an entrepreneur and possibly going into the National Guard. In 10 years Ethan sees himself being married, with at least one kid, and owning his own business. Ethan has a bucket list started, on it, he plans to see the world, and explore all of Europe. When asked for some advice he would give to the incoming freshman Ethan said, “get a job during the summer. I think it is really important to get experience with a real job. Get a good work ethic and go on to more important jobs.” Although it is still unclear whether will he own a business or goes into the National Guard in the future, Ethan has a bright future ahead of him!
