Brittany Joy Splonskowski, daughter to Bill and Lucy Splonskowski, is an 18-year-old senior here at Madison High School. Brittany has a few siblings, including her brothers Scott and Will, her sister Dani, and sister-in-law, Jess. Brittany and her family live in a lovely home roughly 15 minutes out of town.
If you have ever met Brittany, you would know that her middle name suits her personality perfectly. She fuels her joy through listening to music, because “life would be boring without it.” Brittany has a job at McDonald’s, where she’s always happy to see dogs in the drive-through. Something she has learned from high school that coffee is a miracle worker, as it always gets her through the day. Being the amazing person that Brittany is, if she was given $5 million dollars to spend in 5 days, she would give it to her family to pay off bills and to go on spontaneous vacations.
Along with the rest of the class of 2021, Brittany would describe the past year as french fries. They are a little salty, good at the beginning, but get gross as time goes on. There is no re-microwaving them as leftovers, just like there is no saving 2020. But Brittany is not one to take the easy route. Through this hard year, Brittany has challenged herself with hard classes, such as AP Literature, AP Composition, Advanced Biology, and much more. Along with this, Brittany has been working on answering the million-dollar question, what will she do with the rest of her life? Although Brittany is undecided, Brittany is confident she will be living in a cool house with lots of windows, a big bathtub, and a library.
Brittany, like many of us, have little things that have built her to be who she is today. For her, it’s small things like going out to HuHot with her friends. or the T.V. show Gilmore Girls, the book series Throne of Glass, and a clear blue sky. Even comparing herself to Louise from Bob's Burgers for her great puns completes the many things that make Brittany the lovable person that she is.
Brittany Joy Splonskowski has left her mark on this school by being a part of the Madison marching band, for being an ambitious student, a hard worker, and a joyful person. Although many of us may go on to meet new people and make new friends, Brittany will always be remembered by all that she came in contact with for her kindness and ambition.
