Have you ever been to a ‘Rage’ softball game? Well, if you have, you’ve probably heard the name Kelsey O’Connell, or you've seen her working at Bethel. Kelsey Lee O’Connell is an 18-year-old who lives in the great town of Madison, South Dakota. Kelsey has two sisters, Riley and Courtney. Riley is in high school, and Courtney is a student-teacher at DSU. Her parents are Trudy and Mike.
If given the chance, Kelsey would love to play Meredith Grey, in Grey’s Anatomy (her favorite tv show) because “there's a lot of hot doctors, mainly McDreamy.” If she could best describe her life in the last year with one food, she would choose a SANDwich, because life has been rough. Since you can't eat sandpaper she thought a SANDwich would be the closest thing to it.
If Kelsey could choose a superpower it would have to be the ability to fly. She wants to fly because, and I quote, “I'm short and can't reach things.” The other reason is to travel and get places faster, thus saving money and gas. This ties into where she would want to live for a year if given the choice. Kelsey would want to live in Canada because she thinks it's really nice and pretty.
Kelsey says if she could be on any tv show it would be Wipeout because it looks fun and easy. She also says “I wanna get hurt, but not really, and having it on video would be fun to look back on.” After high school, Kelsey would like to attend BHSU or SDSU for physical therapy. She’s not scared of college but she is scared of big dogs. She’s been afraid of them since middle school where she barked at one, and it chased her on her property. It bit her on the hip, in which she had to get stitches.
Ten years from now Kelsey would love to see herself settled down, definitely with a couple of dogs. Hopefully golden retrievers or any type of lab, and she says, “It’d be nice to have a spouse.” Kelsey recommends joining softball. She also recommends sushi and Grey’s Anatomy. Even though she procrastinates a lot of things, she is a very smart student with a lot of great qualities. If you ever get the chance to sit down and talk to Kelsey, I would recommend it.
