SDSU has invited any MHS high school student to participate in a free theater workshop in the new SDSU Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 16th. The workshop will run from 1:00- 5:00 p.m. and will include various sessions you can choose from. In the past, sessions have included improv, movement, directing, choreography, character analysis, lighting, prop making, scenery, and specialized wounds and scars makeup.
From 5:00-6:30 we will have dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (dinner is the only thing you would need money for.) The musical will start at 7:30 and we will leave for home once it has concluded.
You do not need to have participated in an MHS theater production to come and enjoy this day! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!
Please sign up by October 7th! You can sign up on my door or email me. Please have a permission slip signed and returned to me by October 7th! You can pick up permission slips in my room.
“Based on the novel by Stephen King, Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it.”
