Autumn is a beautiful season where daylight becomes shorter and the temperature cools considerably. Due to the color change, fall is the perfect time to take amazing photos.
Now you can change the aperture, exposure, and contrast - but I am going to tell you the simple version of how to take a decent photo. Familiarize yourself with the features of your camera and learn how to focus the image. Look for the shutter button, which is usually on the top right corner of the camera, and press down to take a picture. Practice zooming in and out to get the best angle. Next, insert a memory card so you can keep and access your photos at a later time. If you feel ready to take the picture, get your subject ready or find a location where you are going to take a photo. If you have a subject, place them either on the side or middle of the photo and determine if you want the background, or the subject, to be in focus. If you want the subject, focus on the subject or vice versa with the background.
After taking the photos, upload them onto your computer or phone and put them into an editing app such as Light Room or Tezza. You can use filters or presets you already have or you can start from scratch. If starting from scratch, crop your image to clean it up. Do not leave white space and adjust the exposure and contrast to get the right tones and shadow points. Next, adjust the color vibrance and saturation to bring out the warm tones in your picture. Use the sharpening tool to bring out the features in things such as trees and shadows. Lastly, finalize your editing and share your photo so everyone can see it!
