Have you ever seen the movie Grown Ups? If yes, let’s talk about Eric Lamonsoff, played by Kevin James. He has a deep love for his family, his sense of humor is impeccable, and he has some pretty strange habits. That sounds just like one of the current MHS seniors - Kadee Labeda.
The affectionate, witty, and charming Kadee Hope Lebeda is the daughter of Steph and Dale Lebeda and sister to Mason and Shae. Her immediate family is lucky to gain one more person - her mother’s fiance, Brian. Kadee is overjoyed to be the maid of honor in their wedding this spring. A fun fact about Kadee’s family is their family dog, Zoe, loves to get down to Morgan Wallen, specifically his song “Whiskey Glasses.”
Last year, Kadee won an award in Mr. Cordts’ class for owning “The Best Singing Dog.” She loved Mr. Cordt’s history class. Even though Kadee is loving her high school years, her dream is to teach head start or preschool. Kadee has found that “working with children is really easy,” which is why she plans to obtain a degree in early childhood education at either Southeast Technical College or Northern State University.
In ten years Kadee sees herself as a teacher and married with a couple of kids and two dogs. She hopes to be driving a Chevrolet Tahoe because she does “not want to look like some soccer mom,” bringing her children to school.
In Kadee’s spare time you can find her watching The Ranch or working at the Lakes Bar and Grill. Kadee believes the most rewarding part of her job is having a satisfied customer. Despite the Lakes Bar and Grill’s top-notch food, Kadee would rather have her mom’s savory steak tips. However, nothing can beat her grandma’s homemade chicken and dumplings.
Kadee’s family plays a huge role in her life whether it is the food she eats or the principles she lives by. When asked who she looks up to the most, Kadee chose her great-grandma Anne. She works hard, never takes anything for granted, and loves her family unconditionally. Her way of life has taught Kadee to never judge anyone. Kadee recommends that everyone strives to live life this way.
