Madora Mae Mott, sometimes known as Maddie Mott, is a current senior in the graduating class of 2022. Her favorite color is light pink but it used to be blue. Madora lived in the  Upper Pennisula of  Michigan for 10 years until moving to Madison in 2014. Her favorite food is lasagna or chicken alfredo, but really, she would be happy with any pasta. She lives with her mom, younger sister, and two cats. Math is her favorite subject (besides band). After breaking her arm roller skating, Madora sticks to ice skating. She is not a fan of heights and spiders either.

Leadership and playing instruments are some of the things that come easily to Madora. She is currently in her second year as a drum major for the Spirit of Madison Marching Band. While her main instrument is clarinet, she learned the tenor saxophone and is learning piano. Madora works cleaning the Living Hope Church. She says the most rewarding part is working by herself and not having to talk to people. Although Madora enjoys spending time by herself, she recommends meeting as many new people and trying as many new things as you can.

Madora could not live without her two cats because “they make [her] laugh and keep [her] entertained.” She is the kind of person who would choose sour, fruit candy over chocolate and can sometimes wear socks to sleep, but only in the winter. She has no established bucket list but she wants to travel the world. After high school, she plans to major in music education and is considering going to the University of Sioux Falls. 10 years from now, Madora wants to be married, maybe with one kid, and teaching as a band director.

Madora’s friends think of her as the positive version of Eeyore, from Winnie the Pooh. If she could live anywhere, she would live in Spain for a year, because of the different culture and the opportunity to learn Spanish. Flying is her go-to superpower for ease and speed when traveling. Anne Hathaway’s character in Princess Diaries is who Madora would play if she had the chance. “She’s funny and carefree and doesn’t care what people think. Plus, she's a princess.”
