Have you ever heard of a guitar-playing, math-loving, and Pizza Ranch working girl? Well, Makira Anniston Wrage is that girl. Makira lives with four other family members and has moved around the southeastern part of South Dakota: Dell Rapids, Sioux Falls, and lastly, moved to Madison in 8th grade. Makira is social and loves to be involved in many activities, especially band.
As far as "likes" go, Makira is an extensive Adam Sandler fan, believing any film Sandler is in is good. Makira is a lover of the color navy blue and orange chicken and rice. Additionally, Makira enjoys math and has since she was a little kid. She loves any crime-related show such as Forensic Files and 60 Minutes. Makira was asked what super-power she would like to possess, she said, “Telepathy because I want to be able to know what people think.”
During her free time, Makira enjoys anything involving music as well as receiving her paycheck from Pizza Ranch which she says, “is the most rewarding part of work.”Makira enjoys playing many different instruments such as the guitar, trombone, baritone, and tuba. When asked what she could not live without, she states a guitar. Makira said, “There are endless things you can create with an instrument.”
Looking towards the future, Makira plans to attend South Dakota State University and major in pharmacy. Makira realistically wants to live around the Madison or Sioux Falls area. If Makira had five million dollars, she would have a long list of wants, including a luxurious house, a new Jeep, and many many instruments. In ten years, Makira sees herself with a family, a new house, and a good-paying job in particular as a pharmacist.
