Jess “Jessington” Englert is a fun, athletic, and all-around good guy. Jess’s family includes parents Tony and Jennifer, and his two older sisters, Erin and Allison. Jess has lived in Madison since he was two years old.
Since Jess was a kid, working hard has always been an important part of his life. His childhood dream job was anything that let him drive a big machine. This has translated into his job now, working with concrete, where he says that the best part of his job is knowing he did well and provided a good product. In school, he likes to do more manual classes, like shop or AG classes. In his free time, he works hard and always keeps busy. Aside from his impeccable work ethic, Jess likes to watch The Walking Dead (but only the first five seasons), citing Rick Grimes as a character that he would like to play as a role.
Though he may seem all work and no play, he does have a lighthearted side to him, saying that Steve the Monkey from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a good description of him. On his bucket list, he wants to do things like riding a bull or going 200mph in a car. If he had a superpower he would choose flight because he “likes to go fast”.
Family is also very important to him. Ten years from now, Jess sees himself owning an acreage in eastern SD with a family to call his own. If he had 5 million dollars he said he would spread it out among his family and community. After high school, he plans on going to Mitchel Technical College for their powerline program. If he were to recommend something to anyone, he would recommend finding an outdoor hobby.
Jess is a good influence on everyone he has interacted with in high school. He's put in hard work and will continue to do so in college and beyond.
