Martin Contreras is one senior who has a lot of opinions, the only catch is you have to get him talking to hear those opinions. Friends describe the 17-year-old as reserved but talkative, polite but crass, and smart. Martin is quite the character; his thoughts seem to contradict his personality or what he seems to be to others. When it comes to a three-dimensional person, Martin is a perfect example.

Martin Contreras describes his last year as being like a vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream cone because it has been a swirl of emotions.  This senior has lived in quite a few places: California to Texas, back to California, and then Oklahoma.  Finally, his family settled down in Madison, SD.  He says that he can read people very easily and psychology comes easy to him but when he isn’t reading people he can be found reading Good vs Evil which is his favorite book. Martin has been working with his dad, Jose, for years now. His dad has a business that works with the local community and replaces and fixes rain gutters. Martin has said that he goes nowhere without his trusty pen.

Martin loves to live life by just living;  he goes with the flow and he wings most things in life. This senior is one of the most unique and interesting people anyone will meet.
