Calista Alexis Jones was born on November 17th, 2003 in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota with a large family. She and her family lived in Wahpeton for 13 years before moving to Madison. Calista had only lived in Madison for one year, then moved to Minnesota -  lived in two different cities there -  then moved back to Madison. Calista goes by a couple of nicknames, her aunt calls her "monkey" (due to her love of banana bread) and her mom calls her "roo".

One fun thing about Calista is that she can’t live without hair dye. She has dyed her hair in all sorts of colors including maroon, teal, dark blue (her favorite), green, red, and purple. One of her favorite foods would be a German cuisine called knoephla soup. Calista’s bucket list is filled with all sorts of entertaining things, but one of the most interesting things on her bucket list is to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, and try an original beignet. Calista recommends, “the television show Lucifer because it’s very funny, and the main character Lucifer just describes me in general.”

If she should best describe a food or drink that relates to the last year of her life, it would be coffee. Calista says that sometimes there was enough creamer to make it sweet, but other times there was not enough creamer and it was very bitter. If Calista had $5 million dollars to spend, she would donate $1 million dollars to a nonprofit mental health organization and start her own rescue and foster care system for animals. She would also put some of the money into savings and set up a road to a nice life.

Calista has a job at Sunshine Foods in Madison as a cashier. Her favorite part of her job is all of the relationships she has built with her new coworkers, getting to know them, and enjoying the smiles and laughs from customers. What does Calista plan on doing after graduating high school?  She says, “I plan on finding a job at a child care center and going to school to get my early childhood education degree. Hopefully, I will become a preschool teacher.” Her favorite class in high school is, no surprise, a prenatal to toddler course. Calista's always been interested in working with children, and her biggest goal is to become a mom. In 10 years, Calista sees herself married with a couple of children, eight dogs, and happy life.
