On Saturday, October 23, the Madison Cross Country Team went to the SDHSAA Class A State Cross Country Meet in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Yankton Trail Park. The head coach of the Madison Bulldog Cross Country team is Robert Cordts and the assistant coach is Nicole Troxell. This race concludes the end of the cross country season for the Madison Bulldogs.
The girls that ran for the girl’s varsity team were Jessie Tappe and Ellie Keller. Jessie Tappe placed 42nd with the time of 20:49.01 and Ellie Keller placed 63rd with the time of 21:22.32.
The boys that ran for the boy’s varsity team were Elijah Sims, Dylan Gerdes, Braeden Keller, Aaron Hawkes, Deion Cross, Chuck Callahan. The boy’s varsity team placed 9th overall. Elijah Sims placed 30th with the time of 17:43.16, Dylan Gerdes placed 39th with the time of 18:05.16, Aaron Hawkes placed 65th with the time of 18:40.16, Deion Cross placed 77th with the time of 18:55.26, Braeden Keller placed 88th with the time of 19:11.11, and Chuck Callahan placed 114th with the time of 20:26.28.
