Alison Vacanti, or Ali,  comes from a family of five. She is the daughter of Michael and Michele Vacanti, the younger sister of Taya, and the older sister of Amanda. “Pizza Rev,” that is all Alison said when asked what she would recommend to anyone who is reading this senior spotlight or to anyone who is just hungry. (At the time of posting, Pizza Rev in SF has closed.)

You can find Alison, or more commonly known as Ali, sleeping, perfecting an already perfect essay, or just hanging out with her friends. Ali surrounds herself in a realm full of sports, from competitive swimming to golf to volleyball. When she is not in a social setting, Ali likes to watch T.V. shows and movies,  her favorites being Gossip Girl and Legally Blonde. She would like to be a contestant on the show Dance Moms just to “see if it’s real.” She also enjoys listening to music, and her favorite artists are Post Malone and Khalid.  Her favorite genre of music changes “depending on the season.” Even though her family is from Italy, Ali would like to visit Switzerland because she can enjoy the weather while snowboarding or skiing down mountains.

When asked what she would spend five million dollars on, Ali selflessly chose to give it to those in need and to donate some of it to cancer research. The selflessness does not stop there, when asked what superpower she would most want to have, Ali chose the power to persuade people into doing good things. This sense of caring encouraged Ali to become a biomedical engineer one day. She plans to attend SDSU when she graduates from high school.
