If it’s spring or fall you will find Lily Ann Sunde working on the family farm.   Lily is  17 years old and from Madison.  She is from a family of 6: she has 2 brothers, Willem and Willard, and a younger sister, Layne. Her mom is Lindsay and her dad is William.

Lily loves to drive tractors any time she can; that's what she loves most about her job!  This past summer she bought a Cowboy Corgi named Diesel.  He goes everywhere with her on the farm.  With part of the money she's earned working on the farm she recently purchased a pickup.  Her pickup is a red ( the only color to buy ) 2003 Chevy 1500 Silverado.  The most rewarding part of her job is finally finishing a project the family has been working on.

High on Lily’s bucket list is buying a ranch and owing lots of horses. Also on that list:  starting a family, getting a tattoo, and going skydiving.  Ironically, her fears are heights and needles. Maybe someday she will overcome those fears and complete those bucket list items.

In Lily’s free time she enjoys cooking, baking, sewing, bow hunting, and riding horses. Since Lily was 3 she has taken dance classes and is currently in ballet.  Lily is also a football cheerleader which she says is “her favorite part of high school”.  She is also active in FFA, participating in Ag Issues, Prepared Public Speaking,  and Vet Science. She's held several officer positions and this year is  Vice President of the Madison Central FFA Chapter.

Still undecided about her after-high-school plans, Lily is deciding between working on the farm or attending Lake Area Technical College for livestock production. One thing Lily knows for sure  is that she would like to be a stay-at-home mom once she has a family. She says, “raising my kids is more important than making money.”  In the next 15 to 20 years Lily hopes to have her ranch in Montana, married with 4 kids, or still farming in Madison with her family.
