If you don’t know Zoey chances are you have bought one of her family’s pumpkins or have caught her playing basketball. 17-year-old Zoey Teresa Gerry, also known as Zo and Z-Baller is from a family of 6: 2 older brothers, Tyler and Eli; an older sister, Maddie; her mom, Teri; and her dad, Lowell Gerry.
Born and raised in Madison, SD, sports come easy to Zoey; she likes to stay active by playing a wide variety of sports, with basketball by far her favorite. When asked to share one item that describes the last year of her life she said a basketball because “that's all she does.” She would like to live in Florida someday because “it has nice weather and beaches, just besides the hurricanes.” Zoey has worked at Valiant Living for the past 2 years and the most rewarding part of the job is working with supporting people. She can’t live without her cat Luna and a fun fact about Zoey is that her family grows and sells pumpkins. This year they had 3 acres of pumpkins and around 3,000 hills that are quote, “WEEDED BY HAND!”
She has a few things on her bucket list, including meeting Steph Curry and traveling to every state. If she had 5 million dollars to spend, Zoey said she would donate and build a nice house. Zoey loves the color blue and loves her mom's homemade chicken alfredo. Her favorite subjects in school are anything, but math. Her favorite T.V. show is Stranger Things and would play Eleven if given the opportunity to play any of the characters.
When asked what her favorite high school memory was, Zoey said, “Winning back-to-back Powder-Puff Football Junior and Senior year.” After graduating, Zoey plans to play college basketball and hasn’t chosen a major yet. In 10 years, Zoey wants to see herself married to a handsome man that can sing, and play the guitar, as well as own two cats.
