Helping people learn, grow, and decide what they want to do with their lives drives Mrs. Audra Lynam as a teacher here at MHS. She originally student-taught in Spearfish, SD, but she was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. Ranching and tourism are prominent there. Breaking away from tradition, Lynam moved to South Dakota where she focuses her energy on teaching young children.
But why come to Madison? Ms. Lynam’s sister got married and settled down in Omaha, Nebraska, so Ms. Lynam moved to Madison to be closer to her, however, she didn’t want to live in the big city. Ms. Lynam says that Madison is a beautiful town, has a good community, has fun small-town events, and loves the library. Ms. Lynam enjoys her time here and is well-adjusted. She greatly enjoys teaching English classes; Speech, Debate, and English Language Arts. Ms. Lynam sees herself in five years still at her desk in Madison, SD but with a garden filled with flowers.
