Emma Lee Ann Murray, also known as Emma-nem, is one of 6 siblings. Born in Madison, Emma lived in Madison up until third grade, when she moved to Sioux City, Iowa, and resided there until freshman year and moved back to Madison. Moving back to Madison, Emma became involved in many different activities: football manager, theater, choir, and Educators Rising are only a few examples of the areas that Emma thrives in.
Emma is a hardworking individual holding, a state officer position in Educators Rising. Emma sees herself teaching in her very own classroom in ten years, using her skills to teach elementary education. Emma plans to continue her education after high school by double majoring in elementary education and special education at either the University of South Dakota or Colorado Mesa University. Working with kids is a passion of Emma’s, and pursuing that as a career is very important to her.
Emma’s biggest fear is heights, yet she is never afraid to make new friends. Emma loves street tacos and will never pass up a good street taco when offered. While her favorite color is green, Emma can be found taking pictures of orange and pink sunsets or repping the red of USD or the maroon of CMU. In her free time, Emma loves spending time with her beloved black lab, Sadie. Excited to graduate, Emma is more enthusiastic about her ability to make people laugh and brighten people’s days.
